Workshops in progress and Social Sofa needs a design!

Next May 2012 we will start with the placemaking workshops for our project areas in Doornakkers, Eindhoven. The projectareas in Eindhoven are a bit different from the other project places of our project partners. In both cases we speak of closed urban spaces of former primary schools which have been closed down in 2009.

Meet the users

During the interactive workshops with potential users, we will try to get as much information on renewing the places and programming to get more vibrant and used public spaces. Great triggers to get the space more lively will be the pilots we are going to implement in the urban space of our 2 project areas.

Social Sofa

One of the pilot is the pilot of designing, making, implementing the social sofa to gether with the neighborhood. In the next Doornakkers' newspaper (31 March) we have a call for the design of the social sofa. Our inhabitants and artists can deliver a design before the 1th of May. On the 22nd of May the final design will be choosen by the inhabitants during our neighborhood meeting Doornakkers Praat!. The social sofa is a typical Dutch innovation.
